Extracted through careful steam distillation, resin tapping, and cold pressing, the purest essential oils are far more powerful than the botanicals from which they come. Any time you hold a bottle of Young Living’s powerful essential oils, you hold nature's pure essence.
What Is An Essential Oil?
Essential oils can be described with three simple words; potent, volatile, and versatile.
Potent - Essentials oils are 100 times stronger than herbs and has the highest frequency of any natural substance. The substance is derived from plants, flowers, herbs, etc., that contains its natural smell and characteristics.
Volatile - Essential oils can easily change from a liquid to a gas form, making it easily accessible to the body.
Versatile - There are many different ways to use essential oils from topical treatment, to diffusing, and to keeping your home clean without the use of harsh chemicals.
High Quality Oils vs. Low Quality Oils
All essential oils posses the qualities from above, however, not all oils are the same quality grade. There are four grades (types) of essential oils that can be found:
1) Therapeutic - Grade – Pure essential oils that are extracted from sustainably raised plants and contain the optimal level plant compounds found in organic botanicals. These are the oils produced by Young Living.
2) Natural or Organic Oils – These oils pass the growing standard, but may or may not contain the optimal level of important plant compounds found in Young Living oils.
3) Extended or Altered – These oils are fragrance grade and used for smell only with minimal, or undetectable, plant compounds.
4) Synthetic Oils – These oils are created in a laboratory and contain no beneficial compounds from plants.
How To Use Essential Oils
You can access the power of essential oils many ways, but the most common practices include aromatic diffusion, topical application, and dietary consumption. These methods bring the pure essence of health-promoting botanicals to your home, family, and life.
